He?s one of the most well known actors in the world, and George Clooney is set to be honored at this year?s Hollywood Film Festival and Hollywood Film Awards.
On October 24th, the ?Men Who Stare at Goats? stud will receive the 2011 Hollywood Actor Award presented by Starz Entertainment.
Clooney is being recognized for his leading performance in ?The Descendants,? as well as for his role as a left-leaning presidential candidate in ?The Ides of March.?
Previous recipients of the honorable award include Jackie Chan, Russell Crowe, Ewan McGregor, Tom Hanks, Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio, Joaquin Phoenix, Forest Whitaker, Richard Gere, Josh Brolin, Robert De Niro, and Robert Duvall.
