Ryan Gosling is a sexy, talented star -- and anyone who's seen the previews for Crazy, Stupid, Love knows he has killer abs, too! So, it's a little surprising that the actor -- who plays a slick lothario trying to show Steve Carell how to woo women in the film (out July 29) -- would be lacking in the confidence department.
But Gosling, 30, tells iVillage that he's surprisingly modest when it comes to women. "I've never had that confidence to use a pickup line," he says. "I think you have to be very confident to use one of those."
Even without pickup lines, Gosling has managed to snag his share of beautiful women. He dated Rachel McAdams from 2004 to 2007 and was briefly linked in the rumor mill to Olivia Wilde (who's now reportedly dating Ryan Reynolds). And even though he's currently single (as far as we know!), the actor seems open to getting hitched some day.
"I think marriage is pretty cool, I mean the idea of it is," he says. "I know people who are really happily married."
